Granada, Nica!
Yesterday I crossed the border into Nicaragua… a pleasant, though not quick, experience… I paid $10 for a bus directly from where I was in Costa Rica to the town I was headed for in Nicaragua so that the bus people deal with most of the immigration stuff… Waiting on line to get my exit stamp from Costa Rica took the longest… but entering Nicaragua wasn’t quick either… especially with all the fuss after this guy got pulled off the bus for smuggling cocaine… ![]()

That’s me where the red X is..
The red line is where I’ve been and the blue is where I’m headed in the next two months or so…
This is a really old colonial town and the architecture shows it… I’ve included a couple pictures I stole from the internet to illustrate what it looks like here… The hostel I’m staying at is in an old colonial mansion… which 2 courtyards, one with a leafy garden, the other with a little pool… It’s quite pretty here…
